Wallet Balance refers to the total Litecoin balance across all addresses that have been explicitly generated within the wallet. Address Balance represents funds at one specific address. Can they differ? Yes. When importing a wallet, recovered funds from default addresses consolidate into the ltc1 address. Since default addresses aren't "generated" addresses, their balance is initially excluded from the wallet total — only after the first transaction does the default address balance get included. Generating Litecoin addresses via the API

Accepted Answer

To generate a new Litecoin address, make a POST request to: POST /api/Address/createAddress Include your API key and the Usev2 parameter ( true or yes ). The response includes the newly generated address and its private key. Keep the private key safe — PTERI is zero-custody, so Kakr Labs cannot recover keys for you.

Question 13

Reloading wallets after a node restart

Accepted Answer

After a blockchain node restarts, wallets are not loaded automatically — this is intentional, for security and resource-management reasons. To reload a wallet, call: POST /api/Wallet/load-wallet specifying the wallet name as the filename value. If you see "Wallet file verification failed: Duplicate -wallet filename specified" , the wallet is already loaded — avoid reloading it.

Multi-signature transaction support

Yes — the API supports multi-signature transactions . A multi-sig transaction requires signing by multiple addresses using their private keys before it is broadcast to the blockchain. Important: all multi-signature addresses must originate from the same wallet. If you see the error "No full public key for address […]" , the provided address doesn't belong to the specified wallet.

Error: "Error creating transaction (wallet may be locked or fees may not be sufficient)"

Accepted Answer

Cause: the wallet is already loaded on the node. How to fix Check whether the wallet is currently loaded before calling /api/Wallet/load-wallet , and avoid reloading a wallet that's already active.

Cause: the provided address doesn't belong to the specified wallet — common in multi-signature flows. How to fix Ensure all multi-signature addresses originate from the same wallet.

PTERI treats security as a property of architecture , not a layer bolted on afterwards. Key custody and biometrics — who holds your keys?

PTERI is zero-custody : private keys are generated on your device, protected by biometrics (FIDO2), stored in hardware-backed storage when available, and never leave the device . Kakr Labs' infrastructure can verify your signatures but cannot impersonate you and cannot recover your keys. This is why verification is deterministic: either the correct key signed the action, or it didn't. Why determinism matters Traditional security is probabilistic — risk scores, heuristics, "suspicious login" guesses. PTERI verification is deterministic cryptographic proof at action time, which removes whole classes of false positives and social-engineering attacks.
